I am exclusively partnering with a Private Members Club in London, recruiting for a driven, ambitious and hard-working Finance Assistant to join their team. The Finance Assistant will provide general assistance in all areas of the company accounting function, enabling the Financial Director and Finance Manager to provide timely and accurate financial information to the Local management of the company, Group Financial Controller of the Management Company, and Shareholders.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Collect, process, and consolidate daily Reception and F&B Banking and ensure all documentation is filled.
2. Ensure all Cashiering related discrepancies are dealt with promptly.
3. Check, investigate, post corrections, balance, and compile a reconciliation consolidated report for Credit Cards daily.
4. Prepare and issue the Daily Revenue Report to all heads of departments of the Company.
5. Check if all Revenues have been posted to the correct Revenue Streams.
6. Assist in generating journals in the accounting system during month-end.
7. Collect, chase, and post suppliers' invoices onto the system daily.
8. Process the cashbook transactions daily.
9. Prepare the payment runs for purchase ledger on a regular basis.
10. Work closely with operations on sales ledger to ensure that there are no risks to the business.
11. Assist Reception and F&B in day-to-day queries such as postings, corrections, and adjustments.
12. Manage operations during the month-end process (stock counts, various reviews).
13. Do various analyses such as P&L review - analyze revenue, cost of sale, and overheads.
14. Reconcile credit card receivables monthly.
15. Do balance sheet reconciliations monthly.
Candidate Specification:
* Strong Excel skills.
* Part Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT qualified).
* At least 18 months experience in a similar role within a finance team.
* Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
* Able to work under pressure and be naturally solutions-focused.
* Inquisitive - able to investigate if something does not look right.
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
