Reed is pleased to be assisting a highly regarded law firm in Hamilton in their search for an experienced Legal Secretary to join their Private Client Department.
The primary purpose of this role is to support fee earners with guardianships, wills, and powers of attorney.
This is an excellent opportunity for a diligent and dedicated individual to provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of fee earners and senior partners.
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Drafting legal documents such as wills, powers of attorney, guardianships, and trust deeds.
* Preparing and filing documents related to estate administration and guardianships.
* Submitting documents to the Office of the Public Guardian.
* Managing case files and maintaining accurate records.
* Utilising case management software.
* Scheduling client meetings and managing diaries.
* Liaising with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals.
* Assisting with conveyancing duties as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Proven experience as a Legal Secretary in private client law.
* Proficiency in case management software.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
* A proactive and professional approach to work.
* Familiarity with Scottish legal procedures and terminology.
