Mission Mobilisation Manager, Christian Charity, London c£35-£38k + benefits
A fantastic opportunity exists for a committed and practising Evangelical Christian to join this well-established Christian Charity at their London Headquarters in the role of Mission Mobilisation Manager. The main purpose of the role will be to provide strategic support for their Field Directors and Field Missionaries to mobilise local churches to reach out to their communities. Under the direction of the Ministries Leaders, you will support the delivery and implementation of the department’s strategies and church mobilisation and support the development of the portfolio of church mobilisation, providing knowledge and monitoring progress and reporting on the portfolio status. You will be a primary enabler for the development, introduction and on-going iteration of the organisation’s churchmobilisation, and church mobilisation strategy.
Main Responsibilities:
● Fully participate in the prayer, worship and fellowship life of the charity including corporate prayer events and conferences involving Christian worship, prayer and fellowship.
● Work closely with the Director of Ministries, Head of Ministries Operations & Field Directors in the
implementation of the vision and organisation’s strategies.
● Under the guidance of the Director of Ministries and Head of Ministries Operations, coordinate the development of “replicable models of ministry” that can be used to equip/enable churches and volunteers for evangelism to the least reached.
● Manage Ministry budgets, prepare expenditure reports/financial statements regularly and advise on Ministry expenditure levels:
● Ensure effective monitoring of departmental project progress through the relevant reports keeping the Ministries Leaders, Leadership Team, Board and other forum/stakeholders up to date.
● Ensure effective management of risk within the departmental project management process.
● Management of day-to-day activities relating to church mobilisation:
● Under the direction of the Ministries Director, organise intake of ministry volunteers for their various projects;
● Input into the project team and provide performance feedback on skill development and training.
● Ensure risks, issues and dependencies are being recorded, monitored and proactively managed to minimise disruption to successful delivery of church mobilisation objectives.
● Conduct & participate in church mobilisation project reviews and approvals processes, under the direction of the Ministries Leaders.
● Meet with external partners organisations, churches and church leaders as required in the course of project-work.
● Participate in speaking engagements as required and agreed with the Director of Ministries.
● Deliver Mobilisation Equipping Support lectures for Field staff and church leaders as occasion demands.
● Attend relevant conferences on behalf of the charity with the agreement of the Director of Ministries.
● Monitor the progress of own work and the work of other staff members on projects to ensure projects meet targets and deadlines.
● Perform any other duties as may from time to time be reasonably required
● Provide extensive urban research about London to inform or develop field Ministries and equipping of churches.
● Provide mobilisation training for field staff and church leaders under the guidance of the Field Directors and Ministries Director.
● Understand Cross-cultural urban mission
Additionally, you can demonstrate a strong evangelical Christian Faith as there is a Genuine Occupational Requirement under the Equality Act 2010 that the post holder will be an active and practising Evangelical Christian who will take an active part in the spiritual day to day mission of the organisation.

● Strong project or programme management and organisational skills.
● Evidence of lateral and creative thinking.
● Evidence of effective decision-making skills.
● Developed project management and planning skills.
● Educated to Higher Education level or equivalent
● Educated in Urban Mission, or willingness to undertake this with the organisation
● Excellent oral and written communications skills.
● Ability to, and experience of, providing input to organisational business and budget planning.
● Knowledge & experience of budget setting, management and control.
● Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with experience of Microsoft Projects.
● Proven experience in skills’ mentoring and coaching project teams.
● Staff and team management experience.
● Ability to influence and liaise with people at all levels of the organisation.
● Ability to relate well to, work respectfully with integrity and influence high-value external partners.
● Able to work well in a team.
● Ability to be flexible by adapting quickly to changing priorities.
● Highly motivated self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and direction.
Desirable:
● A post-graduate qualification in a business-related subject.
● A project management certification
● Bible College diploma or higher qualification
● Undertaken Missional Leadership training
● Experience of strategic and operational planning and leading the delivery of various projects.
● Evidence of good presentation skills and abilities.
● Knowledge of managing and delivering change.
