Claydon Ward are looking for a highly motivated Senior Healthcare Support Worker to join the team. Healthcare Support Workers are a key part of our team and support the Registered Nurses in providing high quality care to our patients.
Healthcare Support Workers work a rota pattern, so you MUST be able to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights and weekends including Bank Holidays such as Christmas Day.
If you have excellent communication skills and a professional manner, then come and join our team in delivering high quality care.
Experience in the health care setting is essential.

Main duties of the job
* To meet the direct and indirect care needs of patients under the delegation and supervision of a Registered Nurse
* To ensure high standards of patient care at all times, in line with Trust policies and guidelines.
* To work as an effective member of the nursing and wider multi-professional healthcare team.
* To work within the boundaries of the role of the Senior Healthcare Support Worker and refer to the Registered Nurse as appropriate.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Care certificate achieved or equivalent
* Evidence of completed competencies as part of a professional portfolio
* NVQ level 3 or equivalent
* Evidence of functional skills or willingness to undertake
* Willingness to undertake further study
Experience
* Proven previous experience in a health setting
* Experience within an acute setting
Knowledge and Skills
* Awareness of physical, psychological and spiritual needs of patients relatives and carers.
* Awareness of the nature of the carers role in assisting patients to fulfil basic human needs
* Knowledge of clinical procedures and observations
* Knowledge of relevant legislation
* Understanding of risk management, health and safety issues, including safe manual handling.
