Frimley Health Foundation Trust has an exciting vacancy for a Bank Band 6 Senior Paediatric Dietitian to join our growing and enthusiastic paediatric dietetics team at Frimley Park Hospital. We have 7.5 hours per week available with the potential for more hours.
The responsibilities within this role include the nutritional assessment and care of paediatric outpatients for a new weight management service. This role will be based at Heatherwood hospital as part of an MDT.
The paediatric dietetic work contributes towards best care approach and in turn the Frimley Health Foundation Trust strategy. This role will support this work and provide an opportunity to develop and practice skills within both inpatient and outpatient groups.

Main duties of the job
1. To provide assessment, treatment and management of paediatric outpatients, including knowledge and experience in oral and enteral nutrition.
2. To be an active member of multi-disciplinary teams for paediatric patients.
3. To work in partnership with paediatric dietitians to have regular clinical supervision.
4. To co-ordinate and manage patient dietary information for the speciality.
5. To act as an expert resource, providing dietetic advice and support to health care professionals working within paediatrics.
6. To support with the appropriate and timely triaging of outpatient referrals.
7. To support the paediatric team lead in maintaining relevant guidelines and pathways within this speciality.
8. To be flexible in times of increased demand to the service and be willing to cover other areas of the hospital and work on other sites within Frimley Health NHS Foundation trust.

Qualifications
* Recognised degree or post-graduate diploma in nutrition and dietetics or equivalent
* HCPC registration
* Member of BDA
* Attendance of relevant accredited courses
Experience
* Post registration clinical dietetic experience in NHS
* Experience of general paediatric dietetics
* Experience of providing weight management support
* Experience of working as part of an MDT
Skills and Knowledge
* Good organisational skills
* Good time management
* Evidence of training professionals in formal and informal settings
* Some basic leadership skills
