Quality Engineer
Global automotive manufacturer requires a Quality Engineer responsible for all aspects of the quality function. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a fast-paced, customer focused automotive manufacturing environment.
The role:
Ensure customer relationships by effective management of non - conformance and complaint resolution
Assure the control plan execution and PFMEA updates
Support APQP, new product introduction, product change, core tool implementation and optimisation
Ensure and drive the implementation and adherence of quality standards
Implement the quality procedures in the industrialization and serial life phase
Ensure compliance regulatory standards for manufactured and purchased products
Coordinate and manage Quality auditors
Ensure accordance with the Quality Management Systems IATF 16949, ISO 9001
Assure the correct application of problem-solving methodologies and audits
Ensure supplier conformance, manage 8D process, monitor non-conformance and implement action plans
Provide training to production team members in relation to new products and quality standards
Identify & lead improvement projects focused on quality, cost and delivery
Manage control of documents, deviation and change control
The Person:
A proactive quality professional who is consistently looking for improvement opportunities
Degree qualified in Engineering
Previous experience in quality engineering within automotive manufacturing or similar
Expert knowledge of APQP tools and 8D problem solving
Be fully conversant ISO9001 and IATF16949
Proven background in managing and implementing change and improvements
Be self-motivated and driven with the desire to self-develop and progress
