This role will be a part of the Mitsubishi Chemicals project team, for the new greenfield chemical plant in Louisiana USA.
Role Summary
An exciting opportunity to join the Mitsubishi Chemical family has arisen. The project engineer will provide a wide range of engineering and project management support to new major chemical projects. As part of the client project management team, you will be responsible for ensuring schedules, budgets and deliverables are met. Taking on key accountabilities such as ensuring plant design is aligned with client HSE, identifying/solving client requirements, and meeting quality and technical requirements. Offering the successful candidate excellent career development with the opportunity the network new relationship internationally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Adhere and lead the implementation of project processes and procedures. Leadership includes guiding the client team through project reviews such as 3D modelling reviews and Hazard studies.
2. Act as deputy for the Senior Project Manager where required.
3. Provide support to the project controls team when developing project reports, in addition to the project commercial team in managing the contractual responsibilities of the client.
4. Aid the change management processes of the project, minimising the impact and necessity of change.
5. Support the discipline engineers in the prompt resolution of technical design reviews, clarification, and waiver requests from contractors.
6. Closely monitor and expedite the closure of the outstanding actions with appropriate design disciplines and other members of the project team.
What we are Looking for
7. An individual who can maintain working relationships with team members and 3rd party project members.
8. A track record of displaying great organisational and leadership skills.
9. Show Strong project management skillset.
10. An ability to be internationally mobile regarding working location.
Qualifications/ Experience
11. Proven experience in engineering and projects, including front-end, detailed design, construction, commissioning, and operation phases.
12. Significant Experience working in the Chemical, petrochemical or oil and gas industry.
13. Recognised accreditation from a professional body e.g. Engineering Chartership is preferred.
14. Experience with Hazard Study processes and 3D modelling reviews. In addition, working on a major EPC project within the industry would be advantageous.
