Job Title: Cover Supervisor Location: Manchester Pay Rate: £100 - £120 per day A well-established secondary school in Manchester is seeking a reliable and proactive Cover Supervisor for a long-term position. This role involves managing classrooms across a variety of subjects to ensure continuity in learning when teachers are absent. The ideal candidate will be skilled in classroom management and passionate about creating a positive learning atmosphere. Responsibilities: Oversee assigned classes, following lesson plans to ensure students remain engaged and on task Support individual and small groups of students as needed to ensure lesson understanding and progress Encourage positive behaviour and handle minor disciplinary issues in alignment with school policies Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress, student behaviour, and engagement Facilitate an inclusive environment by adapting activities to meet diverse learning needs Requirements: Experience within a school environment, ideally in a supervisory or support role Strong behaviour management skills with a calm and approachable demeanour Ability to adapt quickly to different subjects and classroom settings Good communication and collaboration skills to work with teaching staff and support student learning Opogo benefits: Opogo Education is the alternative to supply teaching agencies.
