Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a HR Manager to join us at one of our sites in Avonmouth, supporting one of our new business wins! As part of the senior leadership team of the new site, you will form part of the startup team and embed practices to maximise the retention of employees, integrate HR practices, while implementing the People Strategy and delivery on site, taking the lead on all commercial HR activity associated to the contract.
This is a full time, permanent position, predominately working Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00. We do ask for some flexibility, especially in the earlier stages to support the startup.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Ensure that the site HR team provide consultancy and advisory service to managers on matters of discipline, grievance and performance improvement whilst embedding the GXO values and commitments.
* Provide full HR generalist support and advice to managers and employees, ensuring a current knowledge of employee legislation and relations issues are always maintained.
* Lead HR initiatives for the site in line with business improvement plans.
* Gather and analyse monthly management information such as labour turnover, headcount and absence statistics and using it to provide insight and support key business decisions.
What you need to succeed at GXO:
* Have demonstrable experience in a similar HR role and having startup experience/knowledge will be advantageous.
* Excellent people management skills with the ability to build and maintain credible and strong professional relationships to all levels.
* CIPD qualified to a level 5 or 7.
* Be a self-starter, able to work on own initiative and be a team player.
