Quality Controller
About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Quality Control Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring that all poultry products meet our rigorous standards of quality and compliance. This position is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.
Pay Rate: £12.50 per hour (dependent on experience)
Location: Evesham
Hours: Monday-Thursday 06:00am-15:00pm, Friday-06:00am-12:30pm
Key Responsibilities
1. Inspection & Testing: Conduct inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
2. Documentation: Accurately document inspection results, test data, and any non-conformities in line with company protocols and quality assurance systems.
3. Compliance: Ensure that products comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
4. Problem-Solving: Identify and report any quality issues, collaborate with the production team to address defects, and recommend corrective actions.
5. Calibration: Maintain and calibrate quality control equipment to ensure precise and reliable measurements.
6. Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and recommend process enhancements to improve overall product quality and efficiency.
7. Audits: Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
1. Previous experience in a quality control or similar role.
2. Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and industry standards.
3. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify subtle discrepancies.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and teamwork.
5. Proficiency with quality control tools and software, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Desirable:
1. Relevant certifications in quality assurance or related fields.
2. Familiarity with ISO standards or other quality management systems.
