Working across a range of projects, this role requires a high level of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and flexibility to travel nationwide. Responsibilities / Duties: Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on renewable energy sites Monitor and review asset-managed sites on a rota basis, including weekend cover Identify, record, and respond to faults with a proactive, problem-solving approach Manage and complete low-voltage electrical design and installation Analyse site performance data to improve ongoing operations Complete technical reports on system performance and maintenance activities Requirements / Skills: City & Guilds 2365-02/03 or equivalent qualification City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent (Inspection & Testing) BS7671 18th Edition certification Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the electrical industry Strong attention to detail with a methodical and process-driven approach Excellent communication and organisational skills IT literate with the ability to use monitoring software Full UK driving licence Flexibility to travel across the South West and Midlands, including overnight stays when required Desirable Skills: Experience in Solar PV installation and maintenance CAD experience Experience in communications setup and configuration Knowledge of high-voltage design, installation, and maintenance Other Points: This role requires regular travel, with projects spanning from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, though much of the work is focused in the South West and Midlands.
