About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Assurance Inspector to join our House Plants and Flowers team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to take the next step in their career and join a global business with a £2 billion + turnover.
Working Hours: 8am - 4:45pm, Sunday - Thursday OR Tuesday - Saturday
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Complete Product inspections to ensure Product & Packaging is within ASDA specification
2. To complete a full quality assurance inspection of products arriving on site
3. Completion of accurate QA reports without impacting the operation
4. Fast Track positive release of products to Depot
5. To interact with the site operations to ensure compliance is being maintained at all times
6. Stand in for QA Leader
7. Where necessary – QA to cover third party sites locations UK over event campaign
8. Ensure that Vase life is carried out as per the site schedule
9. Raw material testing and trials conducted in line with site process and colleague request
10. Competitor vase life completion as per site and relevant team request
11. On line inspections as per the site requirement against all Asda specifications
12. Completion of all systems and line documentation within operations
13. Challenge and effectively communicate to all relevant team in the wider business- Commercial/Planning
14. Complete all raw material documentation and effectively communicate to Country offices colleagues and relevant grower base
15. To complete all training requirements and SOP/ guidelines
16. Oversee stock rotation on line and report any breaches to the site shelf life rules
17. Randomly inspect finished goods against FG specification
18. To promptly act within production online inspection following depot communications
19. Flexible shift working approach – events / campaign
20. Report any quality issues to quality SOL and planning functions
What are we looking for?
1. Good IT Skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
2. Previous QA experience (preferable within factory / manufacturing / fresh produce environment)
3. Product knowledge (HP&F)
4. A natural communicator and team worker
5. Previously worked in a factory environment (desirable)
6. HACCP knowledge (desirable)
