We have an exciting full-time life skills co-ordinator opportunity at our residential services, Passmores House and Kings Acre.
The Role
This well-supported post is ideal for someone who wants to support people to develop life skills to aid their recovery journey, develop our trauma-informed working practices, and support the development and implementation of our psycho-social interventions across the service.
We offer monthly supervision with a registered practitioner psychologist (combination of remote and in-person meetings).
You Will
1. Support and enhance the provision of psychologically and trauma-informed care of clients within Vias residential service.
2. Have a particular focus on supporting all residents to develop life skills to enhance psycho-social wellbeing and build their recovery capital with a view to enhancing recovery outcomes.
3. Be involved in working directly with individuals and groups who are seeking support for substance use, contributing to the development of psycho-social interventions and leading on the implementation of these programmes.
4. Join a multi-disciplinary team made up of psychology, recovery workers, nurses, psychiatry, and volunteers.
Via offers community and residential services for substance use. We nurture new ideas, put co-production at the heart of what we do, and provide practitioners with the support to explore and grow. Within this role, you will work directly with individuals and groups, flexibly delivering psycho-social support that responds to the context of peoples lives and works with the social determinants of health.
The Service
At Passmores House and Kings Acre, we provide compassionate and professional support for individuals on their journey to recovery from drug and alcohol dependency. Located in a tranquil environment, our residential rehabilitation and detox centre offers a safe, structured space for individuals to rebuild their lives free from substance use.
