We are currently recruiting for a number of Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineers for a market leading manufacturing business based near Washington, Newcastle.
This is a permanent role that has been created due to continued expansion and business growth.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within an Industrial maintenance based role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working with PLCs Fault finding (Mitsubishi/ Omron/ Siemens/ Allen Bradley) and Robotics (ABB or FANUC) is a must. Mechanical experience with Hydraulics/ Pneumatics / Motors/ pumps is also a must.
The role will involve carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of automated Plant to ensure production levels are maintained.
Hours Week 1 Mon – Thurs 6AM – 2PM / Friday 6AM - 1.30PM
Week 2 Mon – Wednesday 2PM – 12AM / Thursday 2PM – 11PM
Candidates must be time served and Electrically qualified – Ideally 18th edition qualified.
Role Description
* Use and maintenance of the computerised maintenance management system CMMS in relation to Input of accurate maintenance activities data, asset control and documentation, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules, development and implementation of maintenance processes and procedures, spares / inventory usage, procurement and control, which supports business operations and overall equipment efficiency (OEE)
* To respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns effectively & efficiently.
* To carry out planned preventative maintenance on all plant and equipment in line with PPM schedules, aiming to achieve maximum plant availability, with a target of zero unplanned downtime.
* Liaise with external contractors and service providers to support maintenance activities.
* Provide maintenance support to capital equipment installation and commissioning projects.
* To work closely with Process Engineers to increase availability and effectiveness.
* Provide maintenance support to continuous improvement projects.
* Provide support to facilities engineering for external building / service maintenance contractors for (PAT testing, fire alarms, compressor room etc.)
* Facilities works to be carried out (Electrical and compressed air installations).
* Ensure that programmed work is completed on time and to the satisfaction of business requirements.
* Any other reasonable task required by the company

Skills and Qualifications
* Demonstrable experience working within a maintenance role within an industrial manufacturing environment
* Candidates must be Time Served in an relevant discipline
* 18th edition qualified
* Strong working knowledge of Simens PLC’s
* Experience in maintenance of Robotics – ABB / Fanuc
* Knowledge of Mechanical systems including Hydraulics/ Pneumatics/ Motors/ Pumps
* Strong communication skills.
