Position: Permanent Teaching Assistant
Contract: 39 Week Contract
Hours: 32.5 per week
Band: TA2
Required: ASAP
We are looking to recruit a permanent Teaching Assistant for our Early Years setting to start as soon as possible. The successful applicant will be working with our 2-4 year olds and will be required to support teaching and learning and the welfare and wellbeing of children every day from 8.30am – 3pm.
Your key duties and responsibilities will be:
1. To provide the highest standards of quality care and early education.
2. To ensure that health and safety and security measures are constantly maintained.
3. To be aware of and act in accordance with current legislation, policy and procedures.
4. To contribute to a programme of activities suitable to the age range of the children in conjunction with other staff.
5. To keep a proper record of achievement file on your children.
6. To work in close partnership and to develop and maintain good relationships with parents / carers and other family members.
The successful applicant will have strong literacy and numeracy skills; be enthusiastic, proactive and engaging; be able to provide effective support to children under the direction of the Early Years teacher, including those with special educational needs.
