Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 1 Teacher to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons to our Year 1 pupils, fostering a love of learning and supporting their academic and personal development. An interest in art and design is desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum, ensuring that all pupils make progress in their learning.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages pupils to be curious, creative, and confident learners.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of all pupils.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement an engaging curriculum, with a particular emphasis on integrating art and design into various subjects.
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues, promoting a strong sense of community within the school.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and school events as required.
• Uphold the school’s values and policies, including those related to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting.
• A strong understanding of the National Curriculum and effective teaching practices.
• An interest in art and design, with the ability to incorporate these subjects into the curriculum, is desirable.
