Asset Technical Support Engineer (Electrical)
Salary & Benefits: £46,172 - £57,716 + company car scheme + up to 15% pension with 5% contribution + annual bonus + retail savings schemes + online GP access + life assurance cover + free on-site parking + 25 days holiday + 1 wellbeing day + bank holidays
Location: Yorkshire region base with regular regional travel, 1-2 days in the office/site per week
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday
We have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Technical Support Engineer (Electrical) to join the Asset Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and help provide the best service to our customers.

We ensure that over a million people living in the region and the millions of visitors can rely on our services for clean and safe drinking water and wastewater management. We protect the environment and plan for Yorkshire’s water needs, providing essential services 24/7, 365 days a year.
Where you fit in:
* Support the recovery of asset failures and ensure compliance with relevant management procedures and regulations.
* Identify and document asset improvement opportunities in areas such as safety, regulatory compliance, and affordability.
* Provide engineering support to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
* Lead or support investigations for pollution, equipment, and process performance shortfalls.
* Ensure robust financial management in all business decisions.
* Support the development of engineering strategy, policy, procedures, and standards.
* Assist in maximizing value from suppliers and partners.
* Update asset information on appropriate systems in collaboration with capital partners and contractors.
* Review maintenance plans and analyze asset health to identify areas for improvement.
* Participate in studies to enhance asset safety and reliability.
* Manage the delivery of onsite works into minor electrical projects.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to team members.
What skills & qualifications you will need:
* A formal engineering qualification to a minimum of HNC or equivalent (preferably HND or degree).
* Previous engineering experience in water/waste/sludge treatment processes.
* Ability to develop and write technical reports and engineering standards.
* Experience in developing engineering solutions.
* Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Management of Change (MoC) procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to influence people across multifunctional teams.
* A full, valid driving license (with no more than 6 points).
You will also benefit from having:
* Familiarity with internal Control of Work policies.
* Asset management experience.
* Knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015.
* Attention to detail.
* Membership (or working towards membership) of a recognized Engineering Institution.
