Trusts and Grants ManagerPermanentPart-time (3 or 4 days a week)Hybrid working – 1 day office based Croydon (will consider fully remote after passed probation)£24,000 – 3 days / £32,000 – 4 days (£40k full time equivalent)This is an exciting opportunity to join a community youth charity and be part of really impacting change to young people’s lives.Your role as Trusts and Grants Manager will be an integral part of the fundraising team to drive income development through exceptional bid writing, building relationships with ongoing and new donor partners.As the Trusts and Grants manager you will be generating both unrestricted and restricted funding to key projects. The role requires someone who is confident at packaging up fundraising asks that will draw in trusts and grants support for one off and multiyear donations of 5 and 6 figures. You will be coming into an organisaion that has developed a targeted funds infrastructure with live impact data established and ready to utilise in funding proposals. You will be given ample scope to test your creative ideas and drive forward income generation, supported by the Director of Fundraising & Communications, the Chief Executive and a forward-thinking and engaged Board of Trustees. Key duties and responsibilities:Delivering annual income, according to target, by submitting bids to charitable foundations and grant makers, and occasional to statutory funders.Proposing, researching, costing and writing grant applications for a range of gift levels that typically span £25,000 to £500,000.Working collaboratively with the team in submission of your bids, working to pre-agreed priorities for funding.Working as part of the team to monitor performance against agreed KPI’s.Stewardship of donors and producing high quality reports.Take an active role in contributing to the fundraising plans and strategy Skills and experience required:Experience of trust and grant bid writing within charity fundraising environmentExperience of developing and submitting high quality funding applications and approaches to fundersExperience of gathering, understanding and presenting complex information and data in a clear, concise way Strong ability to cultivate relationships with funders, both via verbal and written communication.Highly developed written communication skills Proven ability to make a persuasive, inspirational and compelling case in writing Knowledge and experience of packaging up specific fundraising asks and being able to be creative in your approach to align with donors requirements.Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships to secure funding and work effectively with partner organisations Enhanced DBS will be taken, along with commitment to Safeguarding children
