About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key player in the company's strategic growth initiatives, with a focus on licensing, partnerships, and other deal-making activities. This role is pivotal in enhancing the company's portfolio, expanding market opportunities, and driving long-term value creation. The Vice President will be responsible for leading the identification and evaluation of global business development opportunities, as well as for the structuring, negotiation, and execution of transactions. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and the cultivation of external relationships are also essential aspects of the position.
Applicants should have an advanced degree and a minimum of 12 years' experience in the biotech or pharma industry, with at least 8 years in a business development function. A strong background in the rare disease sector is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in deal execution, a comprehensive understanding of the drug discovery and development process, and deep knowledge of business development processes and pharma deal-making drivers.
