The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) for Kent is seeking someone experienced in delivering first-class receptionist and administrative functions to be the new Administrative Officer for the Victims Centre, Compass House and the Commissioning Team within the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner.
Compass House is a hub for victim services in Kent and provides a base and support rooms for services which support victims of crime. The Commissioning Team are responsible for Compass House and oversee crucial services aimed at reducing crime, supporting community safety and helping victims and witnesses across the County.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has receptionist experience and is also adept at providing administrative support, who wants to work in a dynamic environment that helps individuals impacted by crime.
This is a permanent position based at Compass House, Ashford. Flexible working and job share options will be considered.
A good standard of education to GCSE A-C level (or equivalent) including English and Mathematics or experience to this standard are essential.
The post holder will ideally understand policing and criminal justice system plus the delivery of victim support services. A willingness to learn and being able to take the initiative are essential. Alongside the ability to collect and disseminate information accurately and be able to assess priorities and make best use of resources.
The post holder must possess good communication and organisational skills and be able to take control of a wide variety of emotive situations and deal with people in a sensitive and discreet manner.
The post holder should have good keyboard skills, be familiar with using a computer and experience of using Word, Excel, and E-Mail.
Kent Police offer incremental increases within this salary band, therefore the salary for this position will rise to a maximum of £28,239.00.
