Job Role: Primary School Teaching Assistant (Level 3) KS1 Location: Oldham, OL4 Salary: £1750 - £1800 per month Start date: 22nd April 2025 This is an exciting opportunity to join an Ofsted ‘good’ primary school for at least the remainder of the current academic year with the potential to be made permanent. The successful candidate will be required to support the children in a year 1 class on a 1:1 and group basis under the direction of the class teacher. It is essential that the candidate can work effectively as part of a team and independently, using their own initiative. As a Year 1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the class teacher and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment for young students in their first year of formal education. You will assist with classroom activities, provide one-on-one support for students, help with lesson delivery, and ensure that all students are safe, engaged, and progressing well. The ideal candidate will be passionate about early childhood education, have a nurturing approach, and be eager to support children’s academic, social, and emotional development. Key Responsibilities: Provide specialist 1 to 1 and small group support to the students of the class. Prepare materials that will cater to the individual needs of the children. Positive and resilient role model for children, parents and the local community. Demonstrate a commitment to promote children’s achievement. Requirements: The requested skillset the desired Teaching Assistant will require; Will have recent experience working with children in similar roles. Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed team of educational professionals. Have a passion for Mental, Health and wellbeing with the ability to plan and deliver playful, and hands on experiences for children. Level 2 teaching assistant qualification.
