The Role: As the Production Manager, you will report directly to the Factory Manager and be responsible for: · Overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met. · Managing and developing shift teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. · Driving performance management, training, and development of production personnel. · Ensuring compliance with health & safety, food safety, and customer specifications. · Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and cost-efficiency. · Leading and driving site projects and initiatives to optimise operations. Key Responsibilities: · Leadership of Area Managers and Supervisors, ensuring clear objectives and accountability. · Performance management, training plans, and staff development. · Implementation of quality control measures and adherence to compliance standards. · Ensuring KPI targets for production, cost, safety, and customer service are met. · Developing and executing strategies for continuous improvement and process optimisation. · Managing health & safety procedures and ensuring a culture of zero accidents. What We're Looking For: · Proven experience in a senior production/operations role within a food manufacturing environment. · Strong leadership skills with experience in team development and performance management. · A hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example and drive operational excellence. · Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and experience in cost optimisation. · Strong understanding of food safety and compliance standards. · Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to analyse and report on performance data. · IOSH Managing Safely and HACCP knowledge (desirable but not essential).
