Planning and Consents Director – Offshore Wind DCO Consenting and Offshore Transmission (North Sea & Scotland)
Leap29 have a very specialised role which is available on behalf of top tier Energy company with a high level of activity in Offshore wind in the North Sea, Offshore Scotland and across Europe. The position will involve significant DCO consenting experience and potential offshore transmission experience.
Key duties & responsibilities:
• Project Planning for Offshore Wind: Manage and submit planning applications for Offshore Wind DCO’s
• Contract Management and Stakeholders: Oversee joint venture relationships and contracts. Communicate with local communities and authorities.
• Evaluate Opportunities: Assess feasibility of potential projects.
• Securing tenders and proposals
• Team Leadership: Lead the team and ensure H&S standards.
• Planning Law - submission of Strategic Infrastructure Development and DCO
• Site visits and Surveys / Environmental Impact Assessment
Education:
• DCO consenting experience for offshore wind consents
• Offshore transmission experience
•Consenting/Engineering interface of projects
•A degree in engineering, environmental science, or planning; town planning
• 7+ years of experience in planning and consents for large renewables or infrastructure projects
• Experience in interacting with government regulatory bodies
