The Royal College of Art – the world’s No. 1 university for Art and Design – invites applications for an exciting full-time, permanent role as a Research & Knowledge Exchange Administrator within our innovative Research and Innovation Directorate. This role offers a unique opportunity to work from our cutting-edge Battersea campus with flexible hybrid working options.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager of Research & Knowledge Exchange, you will be a key member of our team, providing exceptional administrative and financial support to drive forward the RCA's research and knowledge exchange initiatives. This role requires someone who is proactive, organised, and customer-focused, ready to take ownership of a complex and varied workload in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
In this vital support role, you will:
Deliver high-quality, efficient administrative and financial support to research and knowledge exchange activities.
Manage data and finances with precision, applying your organisational skills to ensure smooth operation and compliance.
Collaborate across our directorate, adapting to changing workloads and priorities as part of a dedicated, multi-functional team.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should be educated to degree level or equivalent, and possess the following essential skills:
Exceptional Communication Skills: Craft clear, concise agendas, minutes, reports, and applications with ease.
Numeracy & Analytical Skills: Take a methodical approach to budgeting and data management, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Digital Literacy: Demonstrate strong proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, particularly in using spreadsheets and databases.
Experience in Financial Administration: Support budget planning and monitoring through collaboration with finance teams.
