Join our dynamic Global pricing team as a Systems Development Specialist, contributing to the maintenance and innovation of John Crane’s pricing tools and ERP systems. As an experienced solutions architect, this role involves configuring Native & Custom UI Pricing platforms, collaborating with business stakeholders, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the effective use of Pricing and other business systems (C4C, SAP, QAD & PriceFx).
You will become an invaluable partner to the wider Global Pricing department, identifying meaningful insights from large data sources; interpreting and communicating insights and findings from analysis to drive top-line growth. This role will coordinate with the ‘Senior Manager – Global Pricing’ to build a consistent approach, processes, and culture.
Duties & Responsibilities
The Key Responsibilities for the role are as follows:
* Lead, support, and guide the team on PriceFx and other systems used by the pricing team.
* Support existing implementations and handle PriceFx configuration changes.
* Proficient in Agile project management tools (Jira, Azure, or Fabric).
* Proficient in ML programming such as HTML, C+, Python, SQL.
* Gather and formalize requirements to align with the needs of John Crane, subsequently utilizing programming skills to configure and customize both Native and Custom UI PriceFx in accordance with business requirements.
* Collaborate with IT support and business customers on technical issue resolution.
* Experience with ERP Pricing and middleware tools to develop the integration of external systems into PriceFx.
* Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand gaps and opportunities for improvement.
* Ensure traceability of requirements from business needs through testing and scope changes to the final solution.
* Perform Unit, System Integration, and E2E process testing for enhancements and projects.
* Technical/Functional Skills in PriceFx modules - Price Analyzer, Price Builder, Quote Configurator.
The Individual
The Ideal candidate will have the following skills/experience:
* Bachelor's degree, preferably in a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of IT experience with pricing-related tools and applications.
* PriceFx IE Trained or Configuration Engineer Certification preferred.
* Proficient in developing object-oriented programming principles (Java) and web technologies.
* Experience with Groovy language is a plus.
* Pricing domain projects experience with relational databases.
