Job Overview
This post provides an opportunity to develop core psychological knowledge and skills across the acute adult pathway under the direct supervision of registered psychologists and clinical associate psychologists. The successful applicant will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the Complex Emotional Needs pathway within a community mental health team.
Responsibilities
1. Provide psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for people with complex and challenging presentations.
2. Co-facilitate group interventions.
3. Contribute to audit, service evaluation, and research to help shape the continued development of services.
4. Utilise research skills for audit, literature reviews, service development, and other research initiatives.
5. Assist with group work contributing to running therapy groups and evaluating the outcome of sessions.
6. Utilise agreed outcome measures/service user feedback to refine and develop service delivery in line with the clinical governance agenda.
7. Receive weekly clinical supervision from a psychological professional.
8. Perform delegated tasks within guidelines provided by the supervisor and receive regular supervision/additional guidance where required.
9. Provide compassionate care based on empathy, kindness, respect, and dignity.
10. Maintain awareness of local resources and self-help materials and the means of their access.
