The David Ross Education Trust is looking to recruit a Music Programme Manager to oversee the coordination and ongoing development of an ambitious, inspiring programme of curricular and co-curricular music across 36 state primary and secondary schools across the East Midlands, London, Yorkshire and the Humber.
The Music Programme Manager role is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to use their organisation skills, creative thinking and attention to detail to help us develop and shape musical opportunities for over 14,500 students each year. You will be part of the small DRET Music team, working very closely with the Executive Director of Music, Primary and Secondary Music Leads, as well as working directly with schools, school music teachers and a team of musicians-in-residence. You will be someone who is adept at prioritising complex workloads, supporting on the co-ordination and delivery of a range of programmes, events and trips; and will be equally at home working independently as working within a team.
Above all, you will be enthusiastic as we are about the transforming power of music education and will share our belief that all children and young people deserve the highest quality music education in school.
About the role
The role will commence in February 2025 and is based at Malcolm Arnold Academy in Northampton – with the possibility of some remote working by prior agreement. There is the requirement to travel to various DRET and concert venues – so access to transport or a vehicle is essential.

This is a full-time (37 hours per week), permanent role – working year-round.
Attendance is required at final rehearsals and concerts/services organised by DRET (approximately 15 per year) with time off in lieu arranged.
