Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Your work will be varied and interesting, encompassing the investigation of acquiring potential new datasets from various clinical systems into the Trust data warehouse, building new data pipelines, ongoing monitoring of existing packages, providing architectural and strategic advice, etc.

Essential criteria
* A relevant IT degree at MSc level or above, or equivalent technical qualification & experience (equivalent experience = a minimum of 3 years' working in a relevant technical role of sufficient seniority)
Experience
Essential criteria
* At least 3 years' experience of working in a similar role within the NHS and with NHS data sets
* At least 3 years' experience of software development within a structured environment
* Expert knowledge of and experience in the use of SQLServer databases and SQL/TSQL
* At least 2 years' experience in the use of SSIS
* Experience in requirements gathering, software analysis/design and in data mapping
Desirable criteria
* Experience of working with JSON and/or XML
* Experience of working with non-Microsoft ETL tools and database technologies
* Experience of working with Cloud ETL tools and technologies
Communication & Relationship Skills
Essential criteria
* Excellent verbal and written communication (-1 for spelling mistakes, -1 for grammatical mistakes, -2 for unanswered questions, -2 for unclear/confused answers, -5 for obvious use of AI to complete the application)
* Demonstrable experience in writing standards documents, best practice guides, etc.
