Construction Lawyer Role
We are seeking an experienced Construction Lawyer to join our boutique firm in Dorset. The successful candidate will have a strong background in construction law, with experience in handling contentious and non-contentious matters. A broad and varied caseload is expected, with opportunities to specialise in a preferred area of construction law over time.
Responsibilities include drafting, negotiating and advising on construction contracts, working with clients across various sectors, including energy, waste and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong client care skills, commercial awareness and the ability to work independently with relative ease.
Key skills and experience:
* Strong technical knowledge of construction law and contracts (JCT, NEC, IChemE, IET, ACA)
* Experience in handling contentious and non-contentious construction matters
* Strong client care skills and commercial awareness
* Ability to work independently and manage a caseload
* Business development experience and ability to promote the firm
