As the Product Manager, Engineering, you will be recognized as an integral part of the thought leadership team. You will have the opportunity to develop innovative solutions in-house as well as with our customers and partners in your field of expertise, Logistics and Transportation. This role will involve significant client interaction and outputs may be used for board level demonstrations.
We believe that collaboration of small multi-disciplinary teams of developers, architects, designers, and industry experts that work in short sprints and agile cycles is the key to success.
Your Role in Our Team
* Manage the long-term road map, involving sales, marketing, implementations, customers, prospects, partners, and other groups;
* Attend iteration demonstrations and some stand-up meetings;
* Support other non-technical teams (such as sales and marketing network);
* Lead requirements by bringing together efforts as needed - product management, implementations, customers, and other stakeholders;
* Create models and work on the user experience;
* Respond to developers' questions and clarify requirements;
* Document new features for implementations and different versions;
* Write user stories and acceptance criteria;
* Assist and align the QA team;
* Present the latest iterations to customers (pre-release);
* CRM Reports - Keep customer activities and 'Lead' statuses up to date in our CRM system;
* Participate in conferences and industry events to be constantly attentive to market needs and trends;
* Establish and manage relationships with relevant technology partners.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor/Master’s degree in engineering and/or mathematics (preferred);
* Good foundation in mathematics, statistics, and probability;
* Proven verbal and written communication skills in English and French (talks, presentations, publications, etc.);
* Customer-facing skills;
* Experience in a role similar to a Product manager or owner role in the Logistics and/or Transportation industry;
* Ability to manage products and projects in an Agile manner and experience grooming backlogs (nice to have);
* Experience as Scrum Product Owner, preferably certified, is a nice to have;
* Experience working in an IT development environment;
* Ability to communicate at all levels (from employees to 'C' level managers);
* Great presentation skills, commands professional respect when entering a room (he/she represents the image of Nuvoola);
* Eagerness to contribute in a goal-oriented environment;
* Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment;
* Dynamic, flexible, 'positive attitude';
* Knowledge and promotion of cloud security (identity access management & best practices).
