Senior Program Underwriting Specialist (Property & Casualty)
Zurich North America is hiring a Senior Program Underwriter to join our Middle Markets Program team. As a member of Zurich’s underwriting team, you will enjoy the opportunity to develop your portfolio management skills and collaborate with many stakeholders.
We will consider talent in the following cities: Schaumburg, IL and Omaha, NE if the candidate has commercial underwriting experience. We will consider a remote employee if the candidate has both underwriting and program experience.
Responsibilities include:
1. Lead all aspects of portfolio management including:
2. Working with stakeholders to resolve issues and concerns for various programs.
3. Assisting with Dashboard completion and Game Plan updates.
4. Supporting the product development process.
5. Executing on referrals from Program Administrators.
6. Project work as necessary.
7. Participate in underwriting, sales, claims meetings.
8. Assist with new program and profitable growth opportunities.
Basic Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma or Equivalent and 5 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area or Finance, Banking, Facilities/Property Management, Engineering-Civil, Structural
2. High School Diploma or Equivalent and 10 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
3. Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 3 or more years of experience in the Underwriting or Market Facing area or Finance, Banking, Facilities/Property Management, Engineering-Civil, Structural
4. Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice including an Associate Degree and 8 or more years of experience in the Claims or Underwriting Support area
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Experience working on time restraints for quotes on new and renewal business
Experience working in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Good problem-solving skills
2. Property and Casualty Experience.
3. Networking ability
4. Ownership minded

The proposed salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $170,000.00, with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 15%.
