What is a customer service apprenticeship?
If you’re a friendly, enthusiastic person, driven and motivated to help customers either over the phone or face to face, we think you’d fit right in.
During your 12 month customer service apprenticeship, you’ll build on your customer service skills, and qualify as a fully-fledged Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner. You’ll earn a monthly salary as you learn the ropes while getting structured training from our experienced store team, and support from your apprentice coach.
It’ll be fast-paced, exciting, and no day will be the same, but most importantly, by working for our innovative company, you’ll be able to change lives through better sight and hearing.
From the training to qualification
Here’s a few things you’ll gain over the 12 months as a Customer Service Apprentice:
1. On-the-job, flexible training
2. Structured learning
3. Support from your Apprentice Coach
4. Level 2 Customer Service Practitioner qualification – nationally-recognised
Great customer service is central to what we do at Specsavers. As a Customer Service Apprentice, you may be the first person a customer speaks to at their local store, helping the team meet its important targets. You'll refer customers to the appropriate staff member, measure customer satisfaction and make sure the customer has the best possible experience with us.
You'll develop brilliant customer service skills, either in one of our stores or through our call centres. You'll develop your written communication, and perfect your phone manner. You'll become proficient in navigating Specsavers' state-of-the-art management systems.
You'll receive a salary in a full-time role, with paid holidays. You'll be trained in providing excellent customer service, and you'll be in a great position to apply for further roles at Specsavers. We highly value retail expertise at all levels, including as co-owning partners in our stores, so a customer service apprenticeship with Specsavers might just be your first step to a great retail career.
To be eligible for the apprenticeship, you’ll need to be over 18. You’ll have a Grade C in English and Maths or equivalent. If English isn’t your first language, you’ll need to speak to Level 7 of IELTS (International English Language Testing System). You’ll need to be able to work 30 hours a week alongside your studies.
