Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Nursing Home Manager to lead their dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall management of the nursing home, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained, and that the home operates efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
* Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the care team, promoting a positive and collaborative working environment.
* Compliance: Ensure the home operates in accordance with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection framework, maintaining high standards of care and safety.
* Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the home, including staffing, budgets, and resources, to ensure the smooth running of the facility.
* Quality Improvement: Continuously monitor and improve the quality of care provided, implementing best practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
* Resident Care: Develop and maintain care plans for residents, ensuring their individual needs are met and that they receive the highest standard of care.
* Staff Development: Manage and develop the care team, providing training, supervision, and support to ensure staff are motivated and equipped to deliver excellent care.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in management roles within care homes is essential.
* Regulatory Knowledge: A thorough understanding of the CQC inspection framework and regulatory requirements for care homes.
* Qualifications: While an NMC Pin is preferred, it is not essential. However, relevant qualifications in care management are highly desirable.
* Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, and staff.
