Positive Employment is currently recruiting for a Strategic Commissioning Consultant for our client a local government organisation based in Bedford.
The successful candidate will lead on the development, implementation and management of the Adults’ Service Commissioning Delivery Plan.
This is initially a 3 month contract with the possibility to extend after that date. This role will be Hybrid working, 1 - 2 days per week in the office required.
Duties and Responsibilities but not limited to:
* Create a Commissioning Board with the remit of setting the commissioning priorities, consolidating and overseeing the current workstreams.
* Establish regular commissioning meeting with commissioning partners from the ICB to identify areas for joint commissioning opportunities.
* Develop a care home framework/DPS.
* Work with care providers to refresh Market Position Statement.
* Review approach to market management and fee uplifts, consider the formation of a provider forum(s) and/or other means of have structured and regular communication with the social care market.
* Support the Commissioning service redesign that builds capacity & capability across the organisation.
Personal Requirements:
1. Local authority Adults’ Services Head of Service or above, delivering similar commissioning changes.
