A leading food manufacturer in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join their production facility just north of Melton Mowbray. This is a key management role, responsible for overseeing a team of 30 engineers and support personnel across 2 sites. The successful candidate will use their expertise to drive production efficiency, control costs, maintain quality standards, and foster team development across the maintenance teams. You will work closely with the various Operations Managers in the SLT and have the potential to be hands on with knowledge for the team if any major critical breakdowns occur. Ideally you will hold electrical qualifications so you can be the Duty Holder and advise the teams where required on electrical Regulations. The company has produced their product range for many years, even decades, and so they try to keep a balance between introducing new innovations and processes against traditional ways of producing Role: Opportunity to work in a modern, yet traditional food processing site Salary of c£75k - £80k dependent on experience Company and personal bonus schemes up to 6% depending on targets etc Key responsibilities of Engineering Manager: Manage and assist team to work towards maximum plant and equipment efficiency Ensure H&S policies are followed, and H&S is always high priority to the team Ensure planned engineering tasks are delivered on time and in full Manage the Asset Care programme to ensure it meets business needs Be aware of, and provide information on new technologies that could be introduced Work closely with other departments to achieve daily production targets Drive and contribute to cost reduction initiatives to drive efficiency and process improvements Experience and skills required of Engineering Manager: Apprenticeship trained Qualified maintenance engineer with C&G's, NVQ Level 3 or ideally ONC / HNC level Multi skilled experience required, ideally electrically biased Training and development of individuals and teams and construct succession plans where required Proactive attitude to solving issues and supporting production Food manufacturing experience would be very desirable To apply If you are an experienced Engineering Manager looking to progress into a new challenge at a great company please apply by sending your CV, or if you need further information please contact Stuart Cooper on: mail: Wagstaff Recruitment – Building Trusted Relationships to Create Great Opportunities
