Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will join a team of three existing substantive consultants. This is a ten PA position with inpatient and outpatient commitments and a contribution to the general medical on-call rota. There will be an opportunity to develop a sub-specialty interest and contribute to the general respiratory workload of the department. The post is based on 10 PAs with an option to pick up extra sessions. A rotation between the four full time consultants is proposed with the consultants rotating between the Respiratory ward, the Outlier ward and Inpatient referrals. Inpatient commitments require cross cover when consultants are on leave. During the off ward months 'ward round' PAs are substituted for sessions to see referrals.
