We've also expanded further, bringing retailers in Ireland, Germany, Spain, and the Netherlands on board, and we plan to expand further into Europe and beyond - world domination here we come A bit about the role As Bumper’s Senior Systems Administrator, you'll ensure the uptime, security, and efficiency of our IT infrastructure. This will include the administration of Bumper users in Microsoft Office 365, Azure Portal and Microsoft Intune. You'll troubleshoot, optimize, and innovate to support our operations, from critical server maintenance to network optimization and automation. This role will be reporting to the Head of DevOps & Infrastructure. We can be flexible on location and days in the office, but it would be great if you could come in at least once a week to either our Sheffield or Hammersmith office. Day-to-day responsibilities: Overseeing the company's local IT infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, and cloud-based resources Implementing monitoring solutions to track system performance Microsoft Office 365 & Azure Administration: Manage and maintain Office 365 services and environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and MS Teams. Implement and maintain Azure-based solutions, including virtual networks, virtual machines, and storage accounts Manage accounts and permissions to ensure authorised access to applications and resources. Implement controls, audit regularly, and enforce compliance standards Device Deployment and Management (Microsoft Intune): Deploy, manage, and maintain devices across the organization using Microsoft Intune. Ensure compliance with security policies and manage device configurations Endpoint Security: Implement and manage endpoint security solutions to protect against malware, viruses, and other threats Project Management: Lead and manage IT projects from initiation to closure, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and budget. Coordinate with stakeholders, define project goals, and manage project risks and issues Proactively address potential issues and anticipate and address capacity requirements Collaborating with the Head of DevOps & Infrastructure to establish and enforce security protocols and authentication methods Regularly applying updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain system security and functionality Diagnosing and resolving technical issues to minimise disruptions and optimise system performance Implementing and managing backup and disaster recovery solutions Developing and maintaining automation scripts and tools to streamline system management tasks Maintaining accurate and up-to-date documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures Our team is dynamic and innovative, and we're excited to bring on a Senior Systems Administrator who shares our vision of making Bumper the No. 1 payments platform in Europe If you thrive in fast-paced environments and love staying ahead in the tech world, we want you on our team Our ideal candidate has Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience) Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, preferably in a fast-paced and innovative tech environment Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and Windows Server environments Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP and others Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Github, Terraform, Kubernetes, Grafana) Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and security Confident in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Powershell, etc.) for automation and task simplification Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Linux, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator) are a plus.
