Lead strategy, insight and media planning working with the counterpart Business Director and planning team to deliver campaigns across 15 markets. This role will be working on NBCUniversal with their Home Entertainment division responsible for Digital Sales and Rentals. As part of the role, you’ll be working on some exciting upcoming movie releases including – Jurassic World Rebirth, Downton Abbey 3 and Wicked part 2. Business Director – Strategy & Planning The Business Director will need to gain a deep understanding of our client’s business, the changing home entertainment landscape and will need to apply their knowledge to lead all strategy workstreams along with market landscape updates. They will also be the primary client contact for any consumer research requirements. The Business Director will work with the Directors on the account to ensure that strategies are translated into planning and activation across all our disciplines, planning, biddable and digital activation. The NBCUniversal International team is responsible for strategy, market coordination, insight, and pan-regional buying for Home Entertainment delivering campaigns across 15 markets in LATAM, EMEA and APAC. Responsibilities of the role: The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to: Client Service / Leadership : Build strong relationships with client marketing team at NBC Universal and lead the strategic relationship with the client. Be a leader on the team to address key business challenges and be comfortable dealing with senior global client stakeholders. Combine strong strategic and client servicing skills with the ability to lead and inspire a multifunctional team at head office as well as ensuring strategies are delivered on media plans. Provide thought leadership on the media and entertainment landscape and changing consumer engagement with the home entertainment category. Strategy & Planning: Deliver media strategy guidelines for Home Entertainment leveraging NBCU’s own research, as well as audience and media understanding to develop insight driven media strategies and implementation guidelines that will translate to brilliant title planning. Ensure that strategies and media planning rationales delivered account for title, genre, home entertainment format and local market nuances. Although our focus is media, you will need to share POV about the client’s overall communications and activity across paid, owned and earned communications. Work with the Digital Director to l ead the digital learning agenda and ensure that learnings from testing and other campaign insights repor ted through the QBR s feedback into strategies. Lead the planning team in collaboration with the counterpart Business Director to ensure that all plan rationales align with the strategic and planning principles developed for the client. Deliver regular consumer and entertainment landscape updates to keep the clients abreast of the changing consumer engagement with content and media consumptions behaviours. Finance and Operational: Responsible for ensuring that the Digital Managed Planning and Buying team are correctly reporting timesheets & expenses Financial approval and governance for all invoicing from the Digital Managed team to the clients, responsible for billing approval and troubleshooting billing issues What you will need: Have a genuine enthusiasm for film and entertainment Positive and passionate approach that motivates the team & champions team successes Strategic communications planning skills and implementational knowledge across all media. Good knowledge of pan-regional and local market media landscape s. Excellent presentation skills (writing and verbal delivery) Knowledge of key international consumer research tools – TGI, Telmar, YouGov, Global Web Index etc. Strong communication and ability to hold a room in all situations Excellent client servicing skills with leadership and influence at all levels Independently owning and managing relationships confidently The ability to challenge clients in a structured and thought through way Leading by example, with integrity and good citizenship Key Experience Film or Entertainment experience is a big plus Experience managing senior stakeholders & complex client organisation s Media planning & comms planning experience Sounds good?
