We are looking for a dynamic Clinical Services Manager & Professional Nursing Lead to join Hillingdon Community Services, supporting the Head of Adult Services in developing and delivering a range of specialist community services.

In this role, you will oversee our Intermediate Care Unit (HICU), Specialist Nursing (Cardiac, PD, Epilepsy, and TB), Podiatry, Diabetes, and Bladder & Bowel Services, providing strong nursing leadership, ensuring high standards of professional practice, and driving service improvement and innovation.
You will also deputise for the Head of Adult Services, manage complex services, and work closely with system partners to strengthen integrated community-based care.

The Clinical Service Manager will be responsible for deputising for and supporting the Head of Adult Services in the development, delivery, and transformation of community services. They will ensure that services are high-quality, personalised, and accessible to users. The post holder will oversee the delivery of designated clinical services within the Adult Services division and implement systems and processes to ensure compliance with Trust-wide policies and national/local targets.
As the professional nursing lead for Adult Services, the post holder will work closely with the Head of Adult Services and the Community Services Director to provide clear nursing leadership, professional guidance, and clinical expertise. They will ensure that nursing practice aligns with professional codes of conduct across specialties. Additionally, the post holder will engage and empower clinical staff in service delivery and management, using their clinical expertise to assess, develop, and enhance service quality.
The role will also require working as part of the wider system, contributing to integrated neighbourhood team (INT) development and supporting partnership work to strengthen community-based care.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Leadership & Management: Line manage staff within the designated areas of responsibility, including both clinical and non-clinical professionals. Ensure robust performance management, appraisals, and staff development to optimise individual and organisational performance. Facilitate access to ongoing professional education and development.
2. Team Support & Communication: Foster effective team performance in service delivery by promoting clear and positive communication. Encourage strong multidisciplinary and multi-agency collaboration.
3. Clinical Leadership & Service Improvement: Act as a senior clinical champion, influencing multidisciplinary teams to implement sustainable service improvements across professional and organisational boundaries.
4. Clinical Expertise & Advisory Role: Provide high-level clinical expertise across adult nursing services. Offer specialist advice to clinicians on nursing interventions, including risk assessment and management.
5. Partnership Working: Build and maintain effective relationships with key colleagues both within and external to the organisation to support service development and integration.
6. Patient-Centred Care & Service Development: Ensure that patient perspectives are actively considered and incorporated into service improvements.
7. Efficiency & Productivity: Identify and lead initiatives to improve efficiency and deliver productivity savings within the areas of responsibility.
8. Governance & Risk Management: Work with the Head of Quality Governance to implement robust risk management systems, ensuring full compliance with internal and external governance requirements.
9. Strategic & Business Planning: Contribute to the annual business planning cycle, supporting service development and transformation.
10. Deputising & Reporting: Deputise for the Head of Adult Services as required. Prepare and deliver written and verbal progress reports on service developments and learning.
