About The Role
We are looking for a Children's Support Worker/Carer who cares about making every moment matter for the young people we support.
Location: Luton (LU3 postcode area)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 2.45pm – 10pm (Mon – Fri); 8.45am – 3.00pm, 2.45pm – 10.00pm & 8.45am – 10.00pm (weekends & school holidays)
About You
Are you enthusiastic, compassionate and committed to supporting children and young people to ensure that every moment matters? As a member of the team, you will need a real passion for providing a high standard of care & support. It is desirable to:
* Hold or be willing to work towards the Level 3 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Have previous experience supporting children and young people with learning & physical disabilities
The Role
Provide a high standard of support that enables our children and young people to be as independent as possible, learn and develop through education and experience, stay healthy, and have a fun, fulfilling life.
Key Responsibilities Include:
* Providing practical assistance and emotional support to empower our young people to achieve their goals and aspirations, enabling them to make appropriate choices to live the life they wish, in line with their individual support plans. Completion of records and documents is required.
* Promoting health, well-being, and the physical, emotional, cultural, and spiritual beliefs of those supported in an inclusive way.
* Facilitating social, educational and recreational activities of their choice and supporting them in maintaining contact with families or significant others.
* Undertaking day-to-day household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping, and assisting with personal care and hygiene.

About The Service
We are a children’s residential home based in Luton, offering long-term care for children with learning and/or physical disabilities in a quiet residential area. Our homes accommodate up to 7 children.
