Do you have a passion for clear messaging, a flair for the creative and a sense of playfulness?
Yes? You're likely just what we're looking for in our Communications and Marketing Coordinator.
Who are we? We’re a B-Corp environmental consultancy established in 2010 with a team of nearly 90 incredible humans, spread across seven UK offices.
What do we do? By working inclusively and collaboratively our expert teams in ecology, arboriculture, landscape planning and green+blue infrastructure, support our amazing clients to deliver exceptional developments with positive outcomes for both people and wildlife; whether that’s a new road, solar farm or award winning residential scheme.
How do we work? Quite simply, we put our people first.
We support our team to thrive, learn and grow as individuals. We work really hard but also flexibly; with some time spent in the offices and some at home. We’re a certified 4 Day Week employer; paying a salary equivalent to a traditional 5 day week employer, but for working only 4 days a week!
We're a Real Living Wage employer, and are very open and honest about what we're all paid.
When we’re not strictly focused on projects, we gather as a group to socialise and collaborate with individuals from all walks of life; storytellers, athletes, human rights advocates, coaches, mindfulness experts, psychologists, musicians, special forces… to name a few!
What are our values? We’re proudly B-Corp and firmly believe in using business as a force for good. In fact, we’ve been doing this since day one.
We were named in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work Awards 2024 and have recently received awards for championing the mental wellbeing of our team.
Sound too good to be true? We are not perfect! We’re a medium sized business that has grown organically and we've seen plenty of change over the years. We’ve made mistakes and have learned from our experiences; we’re stronger as a result. However our core values have held firm, and by fostering a people focused business model, we’ve allowed our team to flourish. We have experienced growth year on year since we were founded, and we have grand plans to grow further; supporting more clients in more places.
And that’s where you come in! The modern workplace is a busy, ever changing environment. Technology is evolving at a rapid rate and AI is disrupting every industry. In this world of hybrid working and digital communication, it can be hard to keep up.
Getting communications right is hard.
We need someone to coordinate both our internal and external communications; we have solid strategies in place and excellent support available, but need someone to drive us forwards.
What the role entails:
* Editor; coordinate the delivery of key internal publications whilst considering the overall volume of communications the team receives.
* Drive the implementation of the Tyler Grange Communications Strategy across the business (using our Playbook).
* Acting as moderator to ensure channels of communications are being used as intended and arranging comms planning and coordination meetings.
* Librarian; making sure new filing protocols are being followed, with old messages and files being tidied up.
* Supporting the creation of a new, intuitive filing system in Microsoft Teams.
* Technical support; facilitating the production of case studies, blogs and podcasts.
* Journalist; liaising between external marketing agency and wider business to arrange copywriter interviews, blog and social media posts and get content ‘across the line’.
* Social Media; proactively engage with clients and collaborators, interacting with content and suggesting client care/gifting in response to milestones.
What We’re Looking For:
* Highly organised approach to work and time management with high attention to detail.
* Possess strong communications and interpersonal skills, ideally with a proven ability to build and manage relationships with multiple stakeholders.
* To be a ‘self starter’ with a ‘can do’ attitude. Willing to take ownership/ responsibility for tasks in your remit along with the ability to use your initiative.
* Fluent in English, in particular, English grammar with good copywriting and proofreading skills.
* To approach every task with a positive attitude and to be flexible and open to change.
* Knowledge of Microsoft products including Microsoft Teams.
The perks
* Open and honest salary and pay points.
* 4 Day Working Week.
* Enhanced maternity and paternity schemes.
* Generous holiday allowance, including Christmas shut down and birthdays off.
* Other benefits such as; healthcare cashback scheme, EV Car scheme, cycle to work scheme, life insurance.
To sum up…
We value innovation over convention; the usual route isn't always our chosen path. We care deeply and celebrate loudly. We're one inclusive team always looking for the next big opportunity. Every day is a blend of meaningful work, good laughs, and honest conversations. If you thrive in this kind of setting, then you’ll fit right in.
And it’s not just about us – it's about making waves in our field and communities. Together, we’re on a mission to elevate standards across our profession and the communities we serve.
