Role Description
The Role: Team Leader - Children's Residential
* Location: Stoke-on-Trent
* Salary: £35,741.33 (depending on qualification and experience)
* Shift pattern: 2 on 4 off shift pattern with sleep-in after each shift
* Full UK Driving Licence and we ask that you get Business Insurance

This is a full-time on-site role for a Team Leader - Children's Residential at Crystal Care Solutions Limited. The Team Leader will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day care of young people, working closely with the staff team, and collaborating with parents, carers, and various professionals. We want to hear from caring, enthusiastic and dedicated team players with a can-do approach who really care about the needs of young people. You’ll enjoy working with children and young people, providing day to day support, guidance and activities. You’ll create a safe, caring and supportive place to live for children and young people.

Qualifications
* 18 months experience in working with children and young people gained in a Residential Children's Home setting.
* Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification or near to completion (within 6 months)
* Leadership and management abilities
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to handle challenging situations effectively
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures

* Apply for enhanced DBS disclosure and if applicable, overseas criminal records checks.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Understanding of attachment and trauma in relation to young people.
* Experience in a therapeutic setting.
* Experience of and ability to lead staff teams to provide a high level of care within a residential childcare setting.
* Have attention to detail ensuring correct information is recorded in all paperwork.
* Diploma Level 3 qualified in Children and Young Person’s Workforce or equivalent.
* Knowledge and or experience of Ofsted Inspections.
* Knowledge and or experience of working contributively with the professional network.
* Up to date knowledge of the current legislation governing the sector.
