Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You must have the ability to handle materials and operate equipment effectively.
Responsibilities
1. Safely operate vehicles to transport goods to designated locations.
2. Load and unload materials, ensuring proper handling techniques are used.
3. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying shipments against packing lists.
4. Perform basic routine inspections and maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working order prior to use.
5. Collaborate with warehouse staff accordingly.
6. Adhere to all health and safety regulations while on the road and in the warehouse environment.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience in driving a counterbalance truck is essential, and you must hold a valid licence.
2. Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is essential.
3. Strong mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair tasks is desirable.
4. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required, with a focus on safety protocols.
5. Basic maths skills for accurate record keeping and inventory management.
6. A valid driving licence is essential, with a clean driving record preferred.
7. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
Working Hours
Week 1: Wednesday to Friday 11:00-23:00
Week 2: Thursday to Saturday 11:00-23:00
Overtime available, paid at an enhanced rate.

Pay: £14.79-£15.64 per hour
