Dean Close Foundation are looking to appoint a new Hockey Coach to join the sports department from September 2025. This is a full-time post, working directly with pupils and a thriving and well-respected sports programme.
Guided by our Director of Hockey, the coaching role is pivotal in providing sporting support for pupils at every stage of the performance pathway.
Other roles and responsibilities to include:
* To work alongside the Director of Hockey to assist in the implementation of school hockey.
* To take control of a team and support their journey throughout the term.
* To assist in the organisation of regular pre-season training and tours at all levels.
* To assist in a co-ordinated approach of hockey development.
* To assist in the running of school and marketing events to the hockey community.
* Strengthen the links between Dean Close and outside clubs.
* To offer extensive 1:1 coaching both during term time and all other times when required.
The successful candidate will come from a strong Playing and/or Coaching background in Hockey, and possess the knowledge and experience of being able to umpire and coach and support students from a variety of playing backgrounds and experiences in Hockey.
