OER Project is an education initiative within Gates Ventures that is focused on supporting teachers and students with a comprehensive approach that goes well beyond the textbook. The OER Project provides high-quality learning resources to teachers, helping them to boost student engagement and enhance learning outcomes. The Role:
The Customer Engagement Manager will be the main contact between OER Project and our partner organizations. This role is essential for delivering our professional learning services, helping teachers and school leaders, and making sure that OER Project’s resources meet their needs. You’ll work directly with schools and districts to understand their goals and create strategies to support them effectively.
We’re looking for someone with a strong background in education and a good understanding of what makes great teaching and learning resources. You’ll also need to help us align our educational approach with the goals of our partners and measure the impact of our work. If you have experience working with schools, managing projects, and helping teachers learn and grow, this role could be a great fit.
Please note: our work demands collaboration spanning multiple teams and the ability to quickly adapt to new developments and opportunities. Accordingly, this is an in-office role in Kirkland, WA.
Responsibilities:
* Build and manage relationships with enterprise clients, focusing on how they engage with our professional learning services and resources.
* Main point of contact for clients, helping them get the most out of OER Project’s offerings.
* Lead design and delivery of professional learning sessions for educators.
* Work with teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure the OER Project is meeting their needs.
* Collaborate with other teams at OER Project to keep everyone aligned and improve our services.
* Create engaging content for our online teacher community to spark discussions about education and social studies.
Qualifications:
* Strategic thinking, with the ability to create plans that meet both educational goals and business needs.
* In-depth knowledge of current trends in education, including how schools select and use instructional materials.
* Strong communication skills, both written and spoken, especially with teachers and school leaders.
* Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Comfortable using tools to manage tasks, track progress, and communicate with stakeholders.
* Self-motivated with a strong passion for education and improving outcomes for students and teachers.
* Collaborative and positive attitude, even during busy times.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Preferred Experience:
* Experience leading professional development for teachers, particularly in K-12 education.
* Experience managing customer issues and developing effective support systems.
* Experience engaging teachers, districts, and states in educational initiatives.
* Experience designing learning opportunities that align with educational standards.
* Experience creating strategies that drive clear outcomes.
Compensation:
The salary range for this position is $105,000-$115,000 per year. Starting salary offers will vary depending on several factors including education, experience, and qualifications. This role also qualifies for a discretionary annual bonus.
