The company uses a subscription model and has created 12 highly targeted “Phorums” (forums) with tailored content across multiple areas including Drug Substance, Drug Development, Fill Finish, Technology Strategy, Supply Chain Resilience, IT, Data and Digital, Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products, Quality, Regulatory, and Sustainability. BioPhorum’s expert facilitators currently lead more than ninety initiatives involving over 7,000 subject matter experts. BioPhorum has built a diverse and extensive client base of over 150 organisations, including 18 of the 20 largest global (bio)pharmacos. Beyond pharma, BioPhorum has also built relationships with other types of life science organisations, including those that provide services across the outsourced value chain (e.g., CDMOs), and academia. Over the last year, BioPhorum has established an exciting growth strategy, launched its first data product and completed an acquisition. Further growth opportunities are being planned in both the core Phorum business as well as adjacent markets. Against this backdrop, BioPhorum is looking to hire a Data Research and Content Coordinator. The Role The Data Research & Content Coordinator plays a critical role in the development, curation, and management of BioPhorum’s dynamic Host Cell Protein (HCP) platform. This evolving, expert-curated platform serves as a trusted resource for assessing the risks of Host Cell Proteins (HCPs) in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The Coordinator supports the management of scientific content by assisting with data sourcing, verification, and maintenance, while also fostering collaboration among key stakeholders. Main Responsibilities Data Curation & Research • Conduct in-depth research to identify, evaluate, and source relevant scientific publications on Host Cell Proteins (HCPs). • Curate and maintain high-quality data entries, ensuring that all information is accurate, up-to-date, and verified against multiple literature references. • Manage the version control and integrity of HCP data to ensure reliability and trustworthiness of the platform Database Management & Content Integration • Work closely with the Scientific Expert Review Committee to integrate new scientific data and maintain a high standard of content quality. • Ensure the continuous updating and expansion of the HCP database, incorporating emerging research and findings. • Implement and maintain efficient workflows for database updates, content publication, and data accuracy. Stakeholder Engagement & Meeting Facilitation • Facilitate monthly meetings with scientists and key stakeholders, ensuring productive discussions and alignment on data curation goals. • Act as the primary liaison between the scientific community and the database team, ensuring effective knowledge sharing and collaboration, working closely with the collaboration workstream driving industry acceleration in this area and ensuring a consistent approach to stakeholder engagement. • Organize and manage content updates, making sure all stakeholders are engaged and aligned with the platform’s evolving objectives. Operational Support • Support the transition from intensive data loading to ongoing database maintenance, ensuring that the platform remains efficient and scalable. • Collaborate with team members to drive improvements in data curation processes and content management. Knowledge, skills and abilities • A degree in Biomedical Science, Bioengineering, or a related discipline. • Experience in scientific research or data/content management, with a focus on precision and quality. • Strong organisational skills and familiarity with data workflows related to published and draft records. • Confidence and credibility in facilitating discussions with scientists and subject-matter experts. • Proficient in using search tools to source scientific publications for specialised fields. Contract: 6 month fixed term contract initially Hours: 20 per week - this is a part time role and working patterns can be agreed to suit This is a home-based role, with expected travel twice a year within the UK in order to participate in company meet-ups. There is the possibility of an additional trip to Europe in May
