About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Male Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) service at a leading hospital in Birmingham.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to provide expert psychological care and support to patients with complex mental health needs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients, as well as collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.

Key Responsibilities:
* Assess and diagnose patients with complex mental health conditions
* Develop and implement effective treatment plans
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive patient care
* Provide education and training to junior staff members
* Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A medical degree and relevant postgraduate qualifications in psychiatry
* Extensive experience in psychiatric intensive care unit settings
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Able to work autonomously and as part of a team
* Up-to-date knowledge of psychiatric practices and procedures
