Robert Half Finance & Accounting are recruiting a new role of Financial Accountant for a fast-growing professional services business with a Head Office based in North Leeds. This role could suit either a studier, or a qualified by experience candidate who has a strong financial accounting background and is keen to put their skills to use within a fast-paced finance function.
The Role
Reporting into the Finance Director and working on a hybrid basis, duties and responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
1. Accurate preparation, production and review of the monthly financial reporting for a portfolio of entities
2. Ensure the financial records of the portfolio of entities are complete and accurate, free from material error.
3. Responsible for producing key balance sheet account reconciliations, taking action to investigate any differences and mitigate any risk of material misstatement of the financial records and reports
4. Balance Sheet reconciliations
5. Act as a point of contact in the business to help with queries on the financial reporting and records for the portfolio of entities you are responsible for
The Candidate
To be considered for the role we welcome applications from candidates with the following:
6. A proven track record of demonstrating good financial governance
7. Strong financial reporting skills (Forecasting / Variance analysis / Performance analysis)
8. Experience with Microsoft Office software particularly Excel, Word, Power Point
9. Outstanding problem-solving capabilities.
10. Ability to act on own initiative, strong problem-solver.
11. Comfortable working across multiple projects at once.
Salary & Benefits
In return, the successful Management Accountant will receive the following:
12. £45,000 - £50,000 base salary
