Due to continued growth Next Generation are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to work with a well-established engineering company based near Tyseley. As the Mechanical Fitter you will be responsible for providing critical theoretical and technical knowledge whilst implementing innovative improvements in complex and unpredictable situations.

Shift pattern for the Mechanical Fitter:
Week one (6:00am 14:00pm)
Week two (14:00pm 10:00pm)

Duties of the Mechanical Fitter:
Conducting diagnostic investigation
Maintain and repair plant machinery and ancillary equipment in a safe and productive manner in order to maximise availability at optimum cost.
Adhere to the preventative maintenance programmes to ensure that unplanned downtime is to a minimum.
Defining key critical spares (budget control)
Improvement projects to drive sustained solutions
Root Cause Analysis to successfully implement Permanent Corrective Actions
Liaise and support engineering / Projects with the buy off process and new part introduction, highlighting snagging and influencing improvement plans.
The successful candidate for the Mechanical Fitters position will have the following experience:
3 5 years experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer (Essential)
16th, 17th, or 18th edition certified Engineer (Desirable)
Experience conducting maintenance on a variety of presses (Desirable)
Experience with Siemens S7 (Desirable)
Fanuc / ABB qualification or equivalent
