We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring person (female/male) to join as a
Intern Teacher of Physical Education and Boarding Houseparent
Workload: 100% - includes evening and weekend work, as required.
Start date: 01 August 2025
The position will suit candidates who are interested in teaching and enjoy the challenge of working with bright and inquisitive international students, aged 13 – 19 (grades 7 to 12).
Responsibilities:
* Lead in coaching key sports such as football, volleyball, and basketball, preparing students for regional and national competitions while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.
* Assist the organization and either supervise or coach students during the school’s wide range of winter sports, such as skiing (cross-country, alpine, and freestyle) and ice hockey, offering students high-level training and competitive opportunities.
* Co-teach and supervise sports lessons and training sessions in the international section, helping students build technical skills, fitness, and confidence in a variety of athletic disciplines.
* Play an active role in organizing and leading school-wide sports events, tournaments, trips and extracurricular activities, contributing to the vibrant sporting culture of the school.
* Serve as a dedicated boarding houseparent, providing pastoral care and creating a supportive environment where students feel safe, engaged, and encouraged to thrive in both their academic and personal lives.
* Mentor and guide students in their overall well-being, supporting them during after-school hours and weekends with advice, supervision, and a focus on building positive relationships within the boarding community.
